I confess I’d never even heard of International Women’s Day till I saw a huge rally in Berlin near the landmark Checkpoint Charlie. The rally was calm and peaceful albeit very colorful. What was most amazing to me was the incredible cadre of police that accompanied this parade of women. It looked like the Berlin police department was scared shitless by these glorious gals.
A rally and parade? I’d do that. I feel like we could use a rally right about now. Sheesh.
